WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE FABRIC

Interested in quilting or sewing? Then you probably know just how expensive fabric can get! But what is the most expensive kind of fabric? It only makes sense that the world’s most expensive fabric, or cloth, would be made from the most expensive kind of material and indeed it is! The world’s most expensive cloth comes from vicuñas, which is the world’s most expensive wool.

The wool is so expensive because it comes from sheep that can only be shorn for the valuable wool once every three years. The Scabal company has pounced upon this expensive fabric in order to make the most expensive cloth in the world but because anyone with time, patience, know-how and access can obtain the rare Vicuña. So, in order to kick it up a notch, Scabal has also woven gold throughout the cloth to make it the very most expensive cloth in the world. But just how expensive is it? The most expensive cloth in the world is available for $1,775 per yard or $5,759 per meter and is appropriately named the Gold Treasure range. The cloth is available in charcoal, black, or midnight blue.
