The world’s most expensive birthday party was held by the Sultan of Brunei on July 13 1996 to celebrate his 50th birthday.
The highlight of the party was concerts featuring Michael Jackson who was paid $16 million to perform.
Throw in some caviar, champagne and other munchies and the bill for the world’s most expensive birthday came to $27.2 million USD.
