A Short History of the Moncler Fashion Brand

The popular Moncler brand name has a long and illustrious history, which began during the Second World War. At the time, the German occupation of France was losing its dominance, and there was a group of Resistance workers rallying in Grenoble. These young men had the opportunity to participate in all mountain sports, along with their politics, while in the mountains. After the war ended, two of these workers, Rene Ramillion and Andre Vincent, decided to continue to develop the sports apparel and equipment that they had so enjoyed while involved with the politics of war. In 1952, they established a factory in Monestier de Clermont in Grenoble, and eventually decided to purchase the plant. In April of that year, they launched the company, Moncler SA, from the first initials of Monestier de Clermont.
One of the most remarkable characteristics of the early Moncler line was the use of duck down, a tremendously warm substance that is not bulky, and was, therefore, ideal for use by skiers. In fact, it was tested in the field. Now, depending on the price, the Moncler jacket can either be manufactured with down, or with a blend of polyester and nylon. But even those jackets made with synthetic fabrics still breathe, and keep the wearer warm on even the coldest day.
Different styles of jackets and coats have a myriad of designs and utilities, so be sure to select the one from Moncler that demonstrates personal style. It does not matter what the occasion - whether you are going to the office or a night on the town, there is an excellent option for each and every occasion. You may be looking for a men's leather jacket with an understated look that is both fashionable and practical. You will be pleased to know that not only it is insulated with both cotton and polyester, but most come in neutral colors that can be used interchangeably with different suits. These coats are understandably more expensive than the other types of outerwear, such as bomber jackets and windbreakers; however, they are a sound investment; they are so well made that they will be around for many years to come.
